8:54 am	Once Again alone in the office. but today is better than last time.  Good things: was kept (relatively) busy all day yesterday.  more to do today, i believe.  and breakfast (chocolate croissant and iced coffee) from cute Medici bakery two blocks away.  and lunch plans with tyler at connected Medici restaurant. frosty lemonade?  why, sure... i think i've found an acceptable place to have my hair cut. 8:57 am	yes, i got a temp job. today is day two of two. last night saw me piecing for a patchwork scarf (jenny: see doggedknits and tell me what you'd think of that in various blues/whites) until 1 AM.  then i realized i had a very important email to write, and was up until 2:30.  i dragged my ass out of bed at 7:30, then hightailed it all the way down to work (like 12 blocks), worrying the whole time that i was going to be late.  now i'm sitting alone in the office, since no one else (not my boss or anyone else AT ALL) is here yet. dr. seuss can write a book in an hour. 1:07 pm	good things: the shower is back to normal, and clean. sweaters progressing slowly but surely + extra green yarn waking up feeling somewhat better not-so-good things: spending an hour and a half on the bathroom floor with the brushy end of the vacuum and an old chopstick, cleaning plaster residue out of the floor grout.  we have very small tile. finish flaking off of my addis dust still everwhere too much clothing, not enough space Current Mood: ehh (10 Comments |Comment on this)

10:48 pm	Valenshines today: chased a known shoplifter out of windsor button.  chased.  (i won i won i won) walked home through 6-8" of really cold, dark, murky, unavoidable water.  not snow, not slush.  water.  (yuck/brrr/yuck) ate surprise chicken saltimboca.  surprise italian dinner.  (love tyler) oh my. 2:59 pm	a theory i would like to point out that i have been so good about only knitting rowan. it's been six weeks. i have a heap of more enjoyable, easier, larger-gauge projects on deck that i would really really like to be working on.  as loopy as this may sound, i think this sweater is contributing to my lousy mood, in cahoots with cold weather and early nightfall.
